about Dave Mundy
With a transparency akin to being buck naked in a church congregation, Delta Blues musician Dave Mundy has arrived at his new home in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
In March, 2015, “The Porch Album” was released and introduced the public to the soulful songwriting of Dave Mundy. This debut album earned a nomination for Best Blues Recording.
“I mix a delta blues sound with funk, R&B, soul, folk, even bluegrass and trad. I’m interested in crafting songs that one feels on many levels. When you don’t even notice your dancing because the content of the lyrics has engaged you, then I’ve written the kind of song I’m hoping to.”
Reaching out to connect with the core of humanity with a big voice and sweet harp playing, Dave put together a group of energetic, seasoned musicians called the “B. Kind Blues Band”. With radio friendly, unreleased recordings, new videos and bigger stages, 2016 could be a busy year.
